Access
Certain states offer non-financial benefits such as HOV or carpool lane access and/or free municipal parking.
Buy-Back
Certain states offer buy-back programs that can help to offset the cost of a new EV by offering cash in exchange for taking older, high polluting vehicles off the road. The vehicles are purchased and scrapped by approved entities.
Discount
Many states and municipalities offer EV owners a percentage or dollar amount off electricity rates, tolls, and more.
Incentive
An incentive can be an available credit, exemption, or deduction on federal, state or local taxes. It can also sometimes apply to utility providers.
Offer
Additional offers may be provided by a manufacturer or dealer and applied to the price of a new vehicle, or they may take the form of a reduced APR rate from a financial institution.
Rebate
Most rebates are offered after purchase but can sometimes be applied to the purchase price.
