How do I adjust the AC Charge Rate of my all-electric Ford vehicle?
You can use the in-vehicle Charge Settings to adjust the AC Charge Rate of your all-electric Ford vehicle when connected to a Level 1 or Level 2 alternating current (AC) charger.
Reducing the AC Charge Rate will reduce the charging speed. This can help address a circuit breaker trip at a charger. It may also delay a charge session's end time so that it aligns better with when you plan to return to your vehicle.
Important:
- This feature is only available on the 2025 F-150 Lightning and 2025 Mustang Mach-E.
- Your vehicle's AC Charge Rate is set to the maximum by default.
- The AC Charge Rate does not reset automatically. To restore your vehicle to its full charging speed, you must manually set it to the maximum charge rate in Charge Settings.
Changing the AC Charge Rate in my vehicle
- Open Charge Settings on your in-vehicle touchscreen.
Select Advanced.
Tap and drag the AC Charge Rate slider to your desired setting.
- Press the Back arrow to return to the Charge Settings screen.
