How do I change the charge rate of my Ford charge station?
You can manually reduce the charge rate of your Ford charge station using the FordPass App. This allows you to reduce your electric vehicle's (EV) cooling fan operation and volume. Reducing your charge rate also impacts how long your vehicle takes to reach your desired charge level.
Adjusting the Charging Speed
Confirm your FordPass experience, and select from the dropdowns below:
FordPass 5.X Experience
To change your charge rate:
- Log in to FordPass.
- Tap on Energy.
- Select Charge Station.
- Tap Settings.
- Move the slider under "Max Charge Current" to increase or decrease your charge stations charge rate.
FordPass 4.X Experience
To change your charge rate:
- Log in to FordPass.
- Tap on Account.
- Select Charge Station.
- Tap Settings.
- Move the slider under "Max Charge Current" to increase or decrease your charge station's charge rate.
