Ford and DTE Energy share the following owner information:

Personal Information

  • Name
  • Email
  • Mobile phone number
  • Home address
  • Utility account number
  • Utility account holder name (if provided)

Vehicle Information 

  • Vehicle make/model
  • Battery size
  • In-vehicle charger capacity

Charging Data per Charge Session

  • Plug-in/plug-out date and time
  • Charge start/end date and time
  • Scheduled charge start date and time
  • Energy consumed per charge session
  • Starting/ending state-of-charge
  • Demand response event override date and time
  • Charging rate during the charge session

Which EVs qualify for Smart Charge?

Ford plug-in vehicles model year 2021 or later are eligible to participate.

Your vehicle must have an authorized modem in FordPass™*.

What incentives are DTE Energy offering to Ford EV owners?

DTE provides:

  • A $50 incentive for enrolling in the program.
  • An additional $50 for those who stay enrolled through December 2024.
