What is the Ford Connectivity Package?

The Ford Connectivity Package* is currently available on the 2025 Mustang Mach-E® SUV with SYNC 4A** Technology. Once activated, this package gives you the ability to stay connected with a powerful Wi-Fi®† Hotspot that allows you to connect up to 10 devices within a 50-foot radius. You can also stream some of your favorite audio and video content, sing karaoke, and get real-time traffic monitoring with Connected Navigation.†† Plus, enjoy most of the features you know at home on the road with Alexa Built-in voice assistance — use voice commands to get the latest news, play songs, and navigate.

  • Your first three years are included with the purchase of your electric vehicle.
  • Integrated maps to find your destinations and route to charging stations, without needing to plug in your phone.††

How do I activate the Ford Connectivity Package?

Once you take delivery, you can activate your included Ford Connectivity Package right from the FordPass® app.‡ Just follow these steps.

  1. Open FordPass.
  2. Follow the steps to connect your vehicle to your phone.
  3. Select Connected Services on the Vehicle screen.
  4. Find Ford Connectivity Package and choose Activate Now.

Trial and Pricing

The Ford Connectivity Package is included for one year with the purchase of your vehicle. After the first year, you’ll have the choice to start your subscription for $149.95 annually.‡‡ If you decide not to renew, you can still enjoy Connected Navigation for the remaining period of your complimentary three-year service. You also have the choice to make a one-time purchase of $745‡‡ — good for a minimum of seven years. Note that this one-time plan is only available at the dealer or when ordering your vehicle at Ford.com.

FAQs

When does my Ford Connectivity Package trial start?

Your trial start date is your new-vehicle warranty start date. You will still need to activate the package to use it when you take delivery.

Can I cancel my Ford Connectivity Package service or auto-renewal?

Included Period: During the included one-year period, you can opt out of auto-renew at any time.

Annual Plan: If you are paying for the annual plan, you can cancel within 14 days of payment and receive a 100% refund. After the first 14 days, you may still cancel at anytime, but your purchase will be nonrefundable.

One-Time Purchase: If the package was activated as part of a one-time, up-front purchase, cancellation is not available.

Can I still use maps if I no longer have the Ford Connectivity Package?

The 2025 Mustang Mach-E includes a 3-year complimentary trial of Connected Navigation. Once that trial ends, you will be required to activate the Ford Connectivity Package to continue using Connected Navigation, which includes real-time traffic, weather, electric vehicle range data, and offline maps. If you choose to not activate the Connectivity Package after your Connected Navigation trial ends, you can connect your mobile phone and use Apple CarPlay® or Android Auto™§ to get live map features.

What happens to my Ford Connectivity Package when I sell my Ford?

The Connectivity Package is tied to your specific Ford vehicle. Included and paid plans cannot be transferred or applied to any other Ford you own or may purchase. What happens next depends on which type of subscription you purchased.

For annual subscriptions: When you sell your Ford and perform a master reset, the package is canceled within 14 days.

For one-time, up-front purchases: The package stays with the vehicle for a minimum of seven years from new-vehicle warranty start date. The new customer must add the VIN to their FordPass® app and activate their vehicle to gain access to the Ford Connectivity Package.

Does master resetting the vehicle cancel my included or paid Ford Connectivity Package plan?

Master resetting your vehicle does not immediately cancel your plan. If you perform a master reset, you have 14 days to reactivate your vehicle, using the same FordPass® account, before your service plan is canceled. If you remove the VIN from FordPass, your service plan will be immediately canceled.

Does removing my VIN from FordPass® cancel my included or paid Ford Connectivity Package plan?

Yes, removing your VIN from FordPass automatically cancels the Connectivity Package included or paid plan.

What is the difference between the Ford Connectivity Package for SYNC® 4A and the Ford Digital Experience?

Some package features differ between the two infotainment systems. The main difference being native Google integration in the Ford Digital Experience with Google Maps, Google Play, and Google Assistance.

What is the difference between the Ford Connectivity Package and Ford Premium Connectivity?

Both Ford Premium Connectivity§§ and the Ford Connectivity Package support video streaming, and Alexa Built-in. The Ford Connectivity Package with SYNC® 4A** Technology adds a Wi-Fi® Hotspot for up to 10 devices (within 50 ft. of your vehicle) and Connected Navigation, too. Availability is based on your vehicle.
