When can Ford Premium Connectivity be used?

Ford Premium Connectivity can be used in your Mustang Mach-E or your F-150 Lightning (Lariat or Platinum) while in Park (P).

Where do I find Ford Premium Connectivity services?

To access Ford Premium Connectivity with SYNC®**:

  1. Tap on the App Drawer icon on your SYNC screen.
  2. Press the Entertainment tab. Ford Premium Connectivity options will appear.

What do I need to make Ford Premium Connectivity work?

Ford Premium Connectivity is currently available for Mustang Mach-E and F-150 Lightning Lariat or Platinum customers with the latest Software Update. For information on how to download Software Updates, visit our Software Updates page.

Once you have the latest software version, you will need an active Ford Premium Connectivity data plan or a reliable password-protected (locked) Wi-Fi connection. Video data is included in your Ford Premium Connectivity data plan at no additional cost.

What if I already have a Ford Premium Connectivity plan?  Can I use it to stream video?

Yes, you can.

How do I connect to Wi-Fi?

When you select one of our Video Streaming partner icons, if connectivity is not established, you will see a pop-up message that can assist.

  1. Press Connect to Wi-Fi in the pop-up message.​
  2. Tap Manage Wi-Fi Networks.
  3. Press View Available Networks.
  4. Select a strong, secure, password-protected Wi-Fi network to stream. You will want to choose networks that show the strongest signal available and a lock icon, indicating that it is password protected.​

Why do I not see a Wi-Fi Network that is nearby?

Ford Premium Connectivity requires a strong, password-protected network. In your Wi-Fi menu, you will want to choose networks that show the strongest signal available and a lock icon, indicating that it is password protected.

  1. Press Connect to Wi-Fi in the pop-up message.
  2. Tap Manage Wi-Fi Networks.​
  3. Press View Available Networks.
  4. Select an available, secured network (one with a lock).

    Note: If you do not see the strong, secure Wi-Fi network you are looking for, try turning the Wi-Fi off and on again to refresh the list of local networks available.

What does the lock icon mean next to the Wi-Fi network I have chosen?

The lock represents a password-protected network. These are the best networks to use to support Ford Premium Connectivity.

Why am I being told to connect to the internet when I am already connected to Wi-Fi and Ford Premium Connectivity is not working?

Please ensure that you have chosen a network with a strong signal and a lock next to it, indicating that it is password-protected.

Signal strength is indicated by the number of dark blue bands; more bands mean a stronger signal.

If Ford Premium Connectivity still does not work with a strong connection, contact support at 1-866-861-0420 for assistance.

Can I use my Ford AT&T Unlimited Plan for Ford Premium Connectivity?

The Ford AT&T Unlimited Plan only supports rear-seat entertainment screens and personal devices.

Can I use my personal login for any of the Ford Premium Connectivity networks?

Some of our partners allow you to log in to your personal account to access personalized content. Where the login option is available, you will see the Sign In or Log In prompt in the upper-right corner of the screen.

Why did I receive a message about Ford Premium Connectivity but have not seen the Software Update come through?

This is because of one of the following reasons:

  • 64794fe0-21ed-4d08-b741-76ee219a71ff.png​An update has been completed and is ready for your review.
