How do I buy a Ford Home Backup Power subscription?

You can purchase your Ford Home Backup Power subscription through the Ford Connected Services tile in FordPass®*. A one-time fee is only required for standard range F-150® Lightning® trucks and is automatically transferred from owner to owner through to the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN). Extended range F-150 Lightning trucks do not require a one-time fee. 

Note: The Ford Home Backup Power subscription is non-refundable.

Ford Home Backup Power Activation

  1. Log in to FordPass.
  2. Tap Account.
  3. Select Connected Services.
  4. Tap Activate under Home Backup Power. 
  5. Review the key features and tap Next. 
  6. Read and accept the:
    • Home Backup Power Terms and Conditions.
    • Payment Terms and Conditions.
  7. Select Confirm Purchase.  

Once the purchase is confirmed, you will see an Activation Pending tab. Tap the Manage button to set up Ford Home Backup Power.
