Learn how to activate the Drift Brake feature in your Mustang® coupe — so you can pull the brake and pull some g’s.
How to Use the Mustang Drift Brakes Feature
First, remember: Drift Brake is intended for track use only. It should never be used on public roads. Check Owner’s Manual for information on use.
Enabling Drift Brake

Step 1
Press the Mustang Pony button on your instrument panel…

…or select Features on your touchscreen

Step 2
Then, select MyMustang

Step 3
Select Track Apps*

Step 4
Finally, select Drift Brake to activate the feature. This switches the car into Track Mode.
If you turn off the Drift Brake, Track Mode stays on.
When Drift Brake is on, the brake handle applies braking to the rear wheels only and locks up the rear wheels.
So many ways to enjoy your Mustang® coupe — including sideways.
