What Video Streaming Does

Video streaming lets you view video content on your in-vehicle touchscreen over an internet connection.* You can do this without having to download any content or any other digital player or mobile device.

Which Vehicles Are Receiving This Software Update

Ford EV (electric vehicle) models equipped with SYNC® 4A** vehicle touchscreen systems will receive this 3.X video streaming software update. Please note this is a phased rollout and not all owners will receive these updates at the same time. Check the FordPass® App or your in-vehicle settings for your latest software updates.

What’s Included in This Software Update

In software update 3.X, Ford EVs equipped with SYNC 4A will soon be enabled to stream video content using online video streaming accounts, apps, or websites. Visit the Software Update FAQs to learn how to view your latest software update details and get answers to all your software questions.

What Video Streaming Does to Your Vehicle

Charging your Ford EV is about to get way more entertaining. You’ll be able to watch your favorite TV shows, movies, or web videos by streaming them over your SYNC 4A vehicle touchscreen system. Anytime you’re parked or charging in your EV, you can catch up on your favorite TV shows, follow recent world news, or laugh at funny videos to pass the time any way you like.

Where You Can Find Video Streaming in Your Vehicle

You can access video streaming while parked or charging in your EV, with a Ford Premium Connectivity service plan†† or a Wi-Fi connection. On your SYNC 4A vehicle touchscreen, select Home icon to access app drawer then select the Entertainment tab. From there, select your favorite streaming app in the Watch section.

When You Should Use Video Streaming

Use video streaming in your EV anytime you are sitting in your vehicle while parked or charging. Then, all you need is your Ford Premium Connectivity service plan or other Wi-Fi connection to let the streaming fun begin.

Ford Premium Connectivity offered on eligible 2022 and 2023 vehicles with a 30-day complimentary service, and eligible 2024 vehicles with one-year complimentary service. Trials begin upon New Vehicle Warranty start date (if installed in-plant) or completion of the software update. Access to Alexa Built-in requires an Amazon account, SYNC® 4 Technology with Enhanced Voice Recognition (available on select vehicles), and FordPass® Connect activated through the FordPass App (see FordPass Terms for details). Some Alexa Built-in features require Ford Premium Connectivity Connected Service Plan or Wi-Fi® wireless network. Connected Service and features depend on compatible AT&T network availability. Evolving technology/cellular networks/vehicle capability may limit functionality and prevent operation of connected features.
