The Enhanced Webex App In-Vehicle Experience

Feature Highlight: The Enhanced Webex App In-Vehicle Experience

The Webex app is available to download on Google Play in vehicles equipped with the Ford Digital Experience, such as the 2025 Ford Explorer® SUV.

What the Webex App Enhancement Does

The Webex app update now allows you to see video and shared content on your in-vehicle display through the Ford Digital Experience.

Webex is the first to introduce immersive meeting and audio calling in the Ford Digital Experience. Webex and Ford have jointly spearheaded the custom-built solution optimized for the vehicle, transforming your vehicle into a true alternative workspace apart from home or the office. It also includes Webex’s AI background noise removal for an improved audio experience. Plus, with the app native in your vehicle, you’ll experience an added layer of seamless connectivity — no need for your tablet, smartphone, or laptop. So go ahead and show it off to your work buddies, friends, and neighbors. We promise you they will be impressed.

Webex functionality requires an active data connection, either via Wi-Fi, your phone’s hotspot, or your Ford Premium Connectivity Connected Service Plan.*

Which Vehicles Will Support This Enhanced Webex In-Vehicle Functionality?

  • 2025 Ford Explorer (Upon vehicle delivery this summer)

What’s Included in This Enhanced Webex In-Vehicle Experience?

  • See video and shared content, even send reactions during meetings, via the in-vehicle display while your vehicle is parked
  • Benefit from audio-only mode while driving

What Webex Enhancements Do to Your Vehicle

You can look forward to an elevated in-vehicle workspace experience that’s effortless, empowering, and convenient. While before you could use Webex via Apple CarPlay® software feature or Android Auto smart driving companion application, it was an audio-only experience. Now you can view video meetings while parked and still benefit from an audio-only mode while driving. This embedded in-vehicle experience lets you turn your vehicle into a mobile office without using your smartphone. Join directly from your in-vehicle touchscreen and leave your hands free for note-taking or grabbing a snack.

Where You Can Find Webex Enhancements in Your Vehicle

After downloading the new app from Google Play, you’ll find Webex app functionality on your in-vehicle display.

When You Should Use the Enhanced Webex App

Use the enhanced Webex app anytime you’re sitting in your vehicle while parked. Then, simply join directly from your in-vehicle touchscreen and let the productivity (or fun) begin. While driving, audio-only mode is available to help ensure an uninterrupted connection, just like a regular Webex call.**
