How do I remove FordPass®* modem access for authorized users?

You can complete a FordPass Connect Reset on your vehicle's SYNC®** screen. For more information, refer to the steps below. 

Important:

  • This reset removes all FordPass® Connect accounts linked to your vehicle. 
  • To remove all previous owners, users, data, and in-vehicle settings, perform a Factory Reset. A Factory Reset also deletes your navigation favorites, SiriusXM†† Radio presets, and makes all SYNC 4A and SYNC 4 subscriptions unavailable for up to 10 days. 

Resetting FordPass Connect

To complete a FordPass Connect Reset:

  1. Safely enter your vehicle.
  2. Ensure that your vehicle is on, running, parked, and in a well-ventilated safe area.
  3. Tap Settings on your SYNC screen.
  4. Scroll down and select Reset.
  5. Scroll down and select FordPass Connect Reset
  6. Close and reopen FordPass once the reset is complete. 

You can now connect to your vehicle again for remote control access.
