How do I request vehicle authorization to use the FordPass®* App?
If you have attempted to activate Remote Commands, but received a pop-up confirming that your vehicle is already activated:
Request Vehicle Access
Select your FordPass App experience below for more details on how to request vehicle access.
FordPass App 4.X Experience
To request authorization access:
- Open the FordPass App.
- Select Activate Vehicle.
Tap Request Authorization if you will be an additional command user.
Note: A message will be sent to all current activated users and they will receive a message in their account of your request.
Once approved, you will have command access.
Note: If you want to activate a vehicle and remove all existing activated users, you can perform a Master Reset.
FordPass App 5.X Experience
To request shared access:
- Open the FordPass App.
- Select Connect to Vehicle.
Tap Request shared access if you will be an additional user.
Notes:
- A message will be sent to all authorized drivers.
- If you want to connect to a vehicle and remove all current users, you can perform a reset.
You can check the status of your request by clicking Check My Access Request.
