How do I add a vehicle to FordPass®*?

You can add your vehicle(s) to FordPass using the Home or Vehicle screen, depending on your FordPass App Experience. Adding a vehicle to FordPass allows you to access features specific to your vehicle model, trim, and year.

Notes: 

  • If you want to add another user to access your vehicle, visit Authorize Another User for the proper steps.
  • You can only have up to 10 vehicles added to your FordPass account.

Adding a Vehicle to FordPass

Select from the dropdowns below to add a vehicle or additional vehicles to FordPass.  

First Time Adding a Vehicle within FordPass App

To add your first vehicle to FordPass:

  1. Open the FordPass App.
  2. Press Add Vehicle.
  3. Press one of the following options on the pop-up message for camera access:
    • Selecting Allow will allow FordPass to access your phone's camera. 

      Note: The scan window will appear to capture your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) and route you to the Vehicle screen.

    • Selecting Don't Allow will prevent FordPass from accessing your camera and you will need to type in your VIN.
      1. Tap Enter VIN Manually

        Note: If you need help locating your VIN, tap the Find Your VIN link.

      2. Enter your VIN.
      3. Select Next.

Your vehicle should appear in the garage. 

Adding Additional Vehicles within FordPass App

To add another vehicle to FordPass:

  1. Log in to the FordPass App.
  2. If you already have a vehicle selected, tap the Garage icon in the top right-hand corner.

    Note: The garage will load by default if you have not previously selected a vehicle.

  3. Tap the Add Vehicle button. 
  4. Press one of the following options on the pop-up message:
    • Selecting Allow will allow FordPass to access your phone's camera.
