How do I make my Phone As A Key™* work better?
Using the FordPass®** App, you can optimize your Phone As A Key device for best performance. Use the steps below for more details.

Optimize Phone As A Key
Select your FordPass App experience below for steps on how to make Phone As A Key perform better.
FordPass App 4.X Experience
To optimize your Phone As A Key settings in FordPass:
- Log in to the FordPass App.
- Go to the Home screen.
- Select Optimize Phone as a Key.
- Tap one of the following menu items:
- Bluetooth®
- Location Services
- Cellular Data
- Adjust your settings using the provided steps.
When a setting has been successfully adjusted, a green check mark will appear and you can no longer tap it. Once all menu items have a green check mark, your Phone As A Key settings are at top performance levels.
Note: If you need to reference the Optimize menu later, tap the circled (i) bubble on the Home screen.
FordPass App 5.X Experience
To optimize your Phone As A Key settings in FordPass:
- Log in to the FordPass App.
- Go to the Vehicle screen.
- Select Vehicle Settings.
- Tap Phone As A Key.
- Locate the "Optimize" section.
- If a green check mark is shown, you cannot select the menu item, as your Phone As A Key settings are at top performance levels.
- If a warning icon is shown, you can adjust your settings using the recommended steps.
When a setting has been successfully adjusted, a green check mark will appear and you can no longer tap it. Once all menu items have a green check mark, your Phone As A Key settings are at top performance levels.
