How do I find the password for my Ford's Wi-Fi hotspot?

You can use your SYNC®** touchscreen or the radio (vehicles not equipped with SYNC) to view the password for your Wi-Fi hotspot**.

Select your SYNC generation from the drop-down options below to learn how to find your Wi-Fi hotspot password. If you need assistance determining the generation of your SYNC system, select the first drop-down option.

Your SYNC generation will appear on the right side of the page under the “SYNC Current Version” heading.

SYNC 4A | SYNC 4

  1. Tap Settings or the Home icon on your vehicle's SYNC screen.
  2. Select either Wi-Fi & Hotspot or FordPass Connect.
  3. Press Settings

Note: The network name is the Wi-Fi hotspot name.

SYNC 3

  1. Select Settings on your vehicle's SYNC screen.
  2. Swipe left and tap Wi-Fi & Hotspot.
  3. Tap Vehicle Hotspot.
  4. Choose View Password.

No SYNC System in Vehicle

If your window sticker indicates you have a Wi-Fi hotspot and do not have SYNC, you can access the Wi-Fi hotspot password through your radio.

To find your Wi-Fi hotspot password using the steering wheel controls:

  1. Select Settings on the radio.
  2. Select Connectivity Features.
  3. Select Wireless Hotspot. The password will appear in the menu.
