How do automatic door locks work on my Ford vehicle?

This feature automatically locks or unlocks your vehicle doors, if equipped. 

• Auto lock: Your vehicle doors will automatically lock when your speed exceeds 12 mph.
• Auto unlock: Your vehicle doors will automatically unlock when the engine is turned off and the driver's door is opened.
