My e-mail address, phone number, or authenticator app has changed. How do I receive a Ford Credit authentication code?
For Ford Credit customers, if you’ve changed your email or phone number, here’s how you can update your authentication methods:
Add a New Authentication Method
- Navigate to Settings:
- Log in to your Account Manager and go to the home page.
- Click on Settings, then select Profile.
Add a Method:
- Under Account Security, click on Manage to be directed to Sign In Credentials.
- Follow the prompts to add a new email, phone number, or authenticator app:
- Email: Enter the new email and request a verification code. Check your inbox for the code and enter it to confirm.
- SMS/Text: Enter your mobile number, request a code, and enter the received code.
- Authenticator App: Download and open an authenticator app. Scan the QR code or enter the details manually to receive a code.
Edit an Existing Method
- Modify Details:
- From the Sign In Credentials section, choose Edit next to the method you wish to update.
- Update your e-mail or phone number, request a code, and verify it.
Remove an Authentication Method
- Remove a Method:
- Select Remove next to the method you wish to delete.
Note: You must maintain at least one active MFA method.
What If I No Longer Have Access to My E-mail?
If you can't access your current email address, contact us so that the code can be sent to your new email address.
