Recall Reference Number: 24C01

Building vehicles you can count on is one of our most important jobs, which is why Ford has issued a safety recall for some 2022–2023 model-year Ford Maverick Hybrid trucks.

The Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) may not illuminate telltales or gauges at start-up. If the telltales and gauges are unreadable and do not clearly display critical safety information, this could increase the risk of a crash.

Take your Ford Maverick Hybrid truck to a Ford Dealership or Lincoln Retailer to have the software updated. To see if your vehicle is included, just enter your VIN here.

A mobile technician may be available to inspect and service your truck where you are, and at your convenience. You can book an appointment online, in your FordPass® App, or contact your local Ford Dealer.

For questions or concerns about the Maverick Hybrid truck safety recall 24C01, please call us at 1-866-436-7332. A Ford Recall team member will be happy to assist you.

As always, thank you for being a Ford Owner.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the issue tied to this recall?

The Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) may not illuminate telltales or gauges at start-up. These telltales and gauges are regulated by certain Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) requirements. If the telltales and gauges are unreadable and do not clearly display critical safety information, this could increase the risk of a crash.

What is the cause of the issue?

Rapid Controller Area Network signal transitions from Sleep-to-Awake can cause corruption to the internal memory registers, and this can prevent illumination hardware initialization.
