How do I save a quick dial number with SYNC?
You can create and store a frequently called number with your SYNC®* system using the following instructions.
Saving a Quick Dial Number
Select your SYNC generation from the drop-down options below to learn how save a phone number to your contacts. If you need assistance determining the generation of your SYNC system, select the first drop-down option.
Identifying Your SYNC Generation

SYNC with MyFord Touch®
- Go to the SYNC Phonebook or Call History menu on your vehicle's SYNC screen.
- Select Contact.
- Tap Quick Dial.
- Choose the slot to save the number.
SYNC Generation (Gen) 1.1
- Go to the SYNC Phonebook or Call History menu on your vehicle's SYNC screen.
- Select Contact.
- Press and hold the preset button for the slot you want to store the number in. Wait for the screen to blink.
- Save the contact.
SYNC Gen 1 with Navigation
To store a quick dial number using SYNC Gen 1 with Navigation:
- Go to the SYNC Phonebook or Call History menu on your vehicle's SYNC screen.
- Choose Number.
- Select Quick Dial.
- Choose the slot to save the number.
*Don’t drive while distracted. Use voice-operated systems when possible; don’t use handheld devices while driving. Some features may be locked out while the vehicle is in gear. Not all features are compatible with all phones.
