How do I update my SYNC settings preferences?
You can adjust the time, Bluetooth® connected devices, driver-assist features, and more in the Settings menu for your SYNC®* 4A and 4 systems using the steps below.
Changing SYNC Preferences
Select your SYNC generation from the drop-down options below to learn how to modify your SYNC settings. If you need assistance identifying your SYNC generation, refer to the SYNC Visual Reference Guide.
SYNC 4A
- Tap the Settings or Home icon on your vehicle's SYNC screen.
- Choose Preferences.
- Adjust any of the following settings:
- Clock: Set time, select mode, auto daylight savings time, and more
- Sound: Adjust speaker preferences
- Bluetooth: Edit the Bluetooth-enabled device list
- Driver Assist: Lock in the preferences for driver-assist technology use
- Tap Apply to save the changes.
SYNC 4
- Select the Settings tile on your vehicle's SYNC screen.
- Choose Preferences.
- Adjust any of the following settings:
- Clock: Set time, select mode, auto daylight savings time, and more
- Sound: Adjust speaker preferences
- Bluetooth: Edit the Bluetooth-enabled device list
- Driver Assist: Lock in the preferences for driver-assist technology use
- Select Apply to save the changes.
*Don’t drive while distracted or while using handheld devices. Use voice-operated systems when possible. Some features may be locked out while the vehicle is in gear. Not all features are compatible with all phones.
