What is the "Performing Scheduled System Maintenance" message on SYNC with MyFord Touch?
To ensure proper performance, your SYNC®* with MyFord Touch® system may occasionally reset itself. When this happens, you will see a "Performing Scheduled Maintenance" message on your vehicle's touchscreen display. This message will also show if you perform a master reset on your system.
If your SYNC system resets itself multiple times a day, verify the following:
- Ensure you have the latest SYNC Updates on your system. If you install any updates, allow time after making the updates to determine if the concern has been resolved.
- Determine if the numerous restarts occur when a specific USB or Bluetooth® device is connected. This may indicate there is a communication issue between the device and SYNC.
