SYNC^® with MyFord Touch^® offers a variety of multimedia options for using your vehicle’s audio system. You can use the AM and FM radio, CD player, SiriusXM^®, and HD Radio™ (if equipped). Use voice or touch to control your music and radio settings

Use voice commands while driving to safely tune the radio or browse your music collection by genre, album, artist, playlist, or song title. To adjust audio settings, you can also use the 8-inch touchscreen in the center console or the controls on the steering wheel.

AM/FM radio and CD player

Use voice commands to browse preset radio stations, play selected CD tracks, and more. Use controls on the touchscreen or steering wheel to select music and adjust the sound. If you prefer, use the controls located in the center console to listen to the radio or play CDs.

Stream music with your Bluetooth-enabled smartphone

Stream your music catalog wirelessly from your Bluetooth^®-enabled smartphone and listen using Bluetooth Stereo. Once your device is connected by Bluetooth to your vehicle’s audio system, launch the device’s media player to begin playback. (Only do so when your vehicle is not in motion.)

To use any of the phone features for SYNC^® with MyFord Touch—such as streaming music, making a call, receiving a text message, or using SYNC Services —you must first connect, or "pair" your Bluetooth-enabled mobile phone. Plug in to play music

Plug your favorite gadgets into the media hub. You can then listen to music by plugging in your USB flash drives, USB media players, and SD cards. You can also plug-in an older media player that has only a headphone jack for output.

Hear digital sound quality

Enjoy digital sound quality when the AM/FM radio in your vehicle is tuned to an HD Radio station (if equipped). This feature lets you tag songs to buy later in iTunes^® and choose from additional digital channels on FM (if featured).

Listen to SiriusXM^®

Once your complimentary six-month trial subscription to SiriusXM^® is activated, you can choose from more than 130 commercial-free channels, including music, sports, talk, news, traffic, weather, and more. Set alerts to inform you when your favorite songs or artists appear on any SiriusXM^® channel. Replay up to 45 minutes of audio for the channel you’re listening to. Use voice commands to browse channels or tune to a specific SiriusXM^® channel by name.

Ask SYNC to play artists with difficult-to-pronounce names

Gracenote^® provides album cover art and helps SYNC understand media player voice commands, including artist and band nicknames, difficult-to-pronounce names, and words with irregular spellings and symbols . Whether it’s “G.N.R.” for Guns N’Roses, “Snoop” for Snoop Dog, or hard-to-pronounce names, like Sade, Depeche Mode or Mötley Crüe, Gracenote helps MyFord Touch voice recognition recognize artists names.
