What are the benefits of BlueCruise hands-free highway driving?
BlueCruise is a driver-assist technology that builds upon Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop-and-Go and Lane Centering to enable hands-free highway driving. BlueCruise helps make driving easier, more enjoyable, and less stressful, whether on long road trips, stop-and-go traffic, or your daily commute. BlueCruise accelerates, brakes, and keeps you centered in your lane with your hands off the wheel. However, you must keep your eyes on the road because a driver-facing camera monitors head position and eye gaze to ensure you are paying attention.
How does BlueCruise differ from other competitors?
BlueCruise differs from other competitors by offering true hands-free highway driving on 97% of controlled-access highways called hands-free Blue Zones. BlueCruise works in collaboration with the driver. Unlike some competitor systems, you can temporarily take over the steering within the lane and BlueCruise stays engaged without turning off.
How do I check hands-free Blue Zone coverage in my area before purchasing?
Ford BlueCruise operates on 97% of controlled-access highways (also known as interstates, freeways, or expressways) across the U.S. and Canada in areas we call hands-free Blue Zones. View our interactive map to see where the hands-free Blue Zones are located.
How do I know if my vehicle has BlueCruise?
You can verify your BlueCruise access and status, and renew the service, on the FordPass®** App or your Ford Account under the Connected Services tile. If the vehicle has Ford BlueCruise capabilities, it will appear here and include your activation status.
What is the difference between BlueCruise versions 1.0, 1.2, and 1.3?

|
What is the difference between BlueCruise and Co-Pilot360 Technology?

BlueCruise 1.3 Software Update
Choose from the drop-down options below to learn more about BlueCruise 1.3 software update availability:
Will I receive the BlueCruise 1.3 software update?
If you are a 2021-2023 model-year Mustang Mach-E owner, and you have a BlueCruise-equipped vehicle, you are currently eligible for the BlueCruise 1.3 update.
When will I receive the BlueCruise 1.3 update?
We do not have specific timing to share, but Ford is working on delivering the software update to BlueCruise-equipped 2021-2023 model-year Mustang Mach-E vehicles. As for other vehicle lines, we do not have additional details to share at this time.
Why is the BlueCruise 1.3 rollout taking so long?
It is a large software package that must be delivered in stages and is currently underway to Mustang Mach-E customers. We are working quickly to get this delivered to customers.
To prepare for the update (if you have not done so already), we recommend having:
What should I do if I received the BlueCruise 1.3 software update, and now I cannot toggle my Lane Change Assist and In-Lane Repositioning settings on or off?
You may have noticed that if you go into your in-vehicle screen settings, there is no longer a toggle option to turn the settings off. The toggle option to turn these features on and off will be refreshed with a future software update.
If you want to turn off your BlueCruise functionality for any reason, you can do so by toggling off the Lane Centering with Hands-Free slider within the Adaptive Cruise Control menu in Driver Assistance settings.
What should I do if I can no longer access Speed Tolerance?
If you are impacted by this, it will be addressed with a future software update. Look for this feature to be renamed to Predictive Speed Assist.
Why are my settings impacted by this software update?
The BlueCruise 1.3 software update is a large package, and this software rollout is done in segments as we update multiple system modules, including the in-vehicle screen.
Based on your model year, you may experience a delay in getting updates via Settings on the in-vehicle screen.
This will all be restored with a future software update. We also want to assure you that the sequence in which we roll out the software update has a thoughtful process on the backend.
