Offered across the entire lineup, 4x4 disperses power to all four wheels to help add traction and minimize wheel slip on loose gravel. *
Advanced
Advanced 4x4 with Twin-Clutch Rear-Drive Unit is standard on the Badlands model. It can send torque to a single rear wheel even when the other three wheels have no traction. * It can divert virtually all rear axle torque to either rear wheel. It works with the vehicle’s selectable G.O.A.T. Modes® (Goes Over Any Type of Terrain).

Ground Clearance
When you have a Badlands® model that is equipped with the available all-terrain off-road tires, you can achieve 8.8 inches of ground clearance. You can comfortably maneuver the off-road with an aggressive 30.4-degree approach angle, 20.4-degree breakover angle, and 33.1-degree departure angle.

Ford Trail Control™
With available Ford Trail Control, you focus on steering during low-speed and off-road use by controlling your vehicle’s acceleration and braking. You can use trail control under 20 mph and under 5mph in reverse. Standard on the Badlands® model.

Stay in Adventure Mode with Ford Protect®
